There are 114 Suwar (plural of soorah) in the mushaf, the first of which is al-Faatihah and the last is an-Naas.
The suwar are grouped in sections called ajzaa (plural of Juz). There are exactly 30 Juz in the Qur&#8217;aan and each one is approximately ten pages long (one page being both the back and front sides). When you encounter a new Juz, it is marked with a symbol on the margin like that shown below.

The text below the Juz number tells you which hizb you are on. A hizb is basically half a Juz (i.e. five pages in total) and therefore, there are 60 ahzaab (plural of ahzaab) in the Qur&#8217;aan.
There is another symbol that appears in the mushaf which tells you how much you have read of one hizb. A hizb is split into quarters (Rub&#8217; &#8211; one quarter, nisf &#8211; half, thuluth &#8211; three quarters) and the following symbols tell you which quarter you are at.
