Salaam alikom w rahmatullah everyone.

Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you and Jazakallaah on behalf of everyone to the founders and maintainers of this website - the knowledge and wisdom I have gained from this website is optimal - I pray that Allah rewards you greatly for your efforts in this world and in the hereafter. My younger brother, Bilal completed hifdh of the Holy Quraan at the tender age 11 thanks to the efforts of my parents - I too have been greatly inspired by this and have reached the stage where I feel determined that I wish to do the same; all I'd like to say is that this website is a great starting point for anyone - and certainly has been for me as well; thank you & jazakallaah once again.

Kind Regards

Allaah yubaarik feeka akhi. May He make your memorisation easier for you and aid you to complete it. You started from al-Baqarah? I think to almost reach Yaaseen in 9 months is fantastic. Keep up your hard work and do your best to act upon what you memorise. MaashaAllaah it is so beautiful to see our youth striving to learn the Qur'aan. May Allaah increase you in goodness, aameen.

I ecperienced the same things as brother Yusuf did. I get up early for fajr 5:00 then sometimes if i cant learn my sabaq in the time given (maghrib to isha) i sit up at 12:00 in then night and my sabaq is better memorized. alhamdullilah i have done up to fa man adhlamu in around 9 months. Do you think i am fast enough?
I have been having long breaks too, included in 9 months like 3.5 months i had a break in total. My rivals are finishing surah yaseen, 1 juz ahead. im catching my moving targets.
I take around 1.5 page as sabaq now and alhamdullilah i can retain it. Im doing full time hifdh and so thats why i'm so slow i suppose...
sabqi is always more than a juz and manzil is 1 juz recently i made it to 1/2 juz to make it sharp.im 11 years old
Salam,
Abdullah

Wa 'Aleykum Salaam waRahmatullaah,
Jazaakallaahu khayra. Dont give up and don't let that put you off. Keep working hard at it and put in the time required, especially for reviewing, and inshaaAllaah with consistency you will see a major improvement. May Allaah make it easy for you.

Assalamualaykum, may Allah bless you for this website and raise your ranks. I have been looking for something like this for ages! I'm just worried because I don't make much progress with my hifdh and I'm very weak in my revision? It's taken me 2 plus years to do roughly 4 juz!

Wa 'Aleykum Salaam waRahmatullaahi waBarakaatuh,
Subhaanallaah akhi, I have found the same thing to be true. I tend to do most of my memorising and reviewing after praying fajr and there are days when I am so incredibly tired and sleepy but it is in that state that my memory is sharpest. Also during hours of fasting or moments in which I feel hungry, my memory works better. It would be interesting to find out if there is any sort of link between tiredness/hunger and memory. Perhaps its because during these times, our brains are less distracted by other thoughts so we are able to focus on just the Qur'aan alone...?
Wa jazaakallaahu khayra.

Aslamulalaykum, I don't know about you but I've had some "wierd" expirences in memorixing Qur'an - that I belevie need reasurching. For example I found that if I'm realy tired my memory comes vaguely more sharper. For example when I was tired I listened to a spech bearly paied attention. They quoted the Qur'an in it. And as wired as it sounds it somehow came back to me about 15 minutes latter, the bare Ayaats that the Shaikh quoted (that I did not pay attention to me), all of a suden came to me on my memory and firm.

The secound weird thing is that often when I'm memorizing I find that when I am testing my self I am making mistakes, but if I stop for about 15-30 mins and come back to it - I know it allot stronger. It's as if my brain only needs some time to absorb it. SubhannAllah.

Has this ever happened to you; what are you're views?

Jazakkallah
P.S. The info you gave on this website is A*
